Whatever your age and stage of life, we have a place for you to grow in your relationship with Christ.
Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. Psalm 127:3
At CBC Kids, ministering to children is our joy and passion! We know that your kids are your greatest blessings. That is why, in addition to creating fun learning experiences for your kids, we make sure to provide a secure and nurturing environment for them. We feel privileged to partner with you in teaching them about Jesus and showing God’s love to them.
In each age group, from birth through 5th grade, we lead the kids in age-appropriate worship, Bible lessons and related activities. They have the opportunity to develop their faith and build great friendships. Bring your kids for a visit! We are excited to meet them!
Did you know that 64% of born again Christians made that commitment to Christ before their 18th birthday? True, according to a recent study by the Barna Research Group. Wow. That really drives home how vital the ministry of CBC Students is in the lives of the kids who pass through our doors! Because of this, we have zeroed-in on the “reach” part of the CBC mission to “reach, teach and help people in Jesus’ name,” and challenged our students to invite their friends to services, small groups, and camps, where they are sure to hear the gospel. By living out the call of “each one reach one,” we get to see God use our faithfulness to hugely impact the youth of San Antonio for Christ!
Check us out — we would love to meet you and get to know you!
The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Psalm 34:17, 18
Everyone faces tough times in their lives. Everyone. Jesus even told us “here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.” It’s the nature of this fallen world. When the hard stuff happens, when you feel lost and alone, when you are up against something you cannot handle on your own, Community Bible is here to help you through it.
Sometimes a group setting is the most beneficial, such as with 12-step recovery, divorce care, or grief support. Other times, you may need one-on-one assistance or counseling, like when making funeral arrangements or when dealing with mental health issues. Whatever your struggle, CBC provides support through a network of ministries with trained volunteers and professional and community resources.
Don’t go it alone. Let us walk with you through the valley and, with Jesus, guide you to the other side. That’s what community is all about.
Are you in your 20s or 30s? Maybe you are a college student in a new city…or single and working…or newly married…or maybe you have a couple of kids…whatever your “status,” we know being connected with people with common interests is important to you. Friends are your second family, and we are here to be family to you, too!
Common Ground is CBC’s community that is designed for you! We meet weekly on Thursday evenings for large group worship and Bible teaching and small group discussion. We also like to get together to just hang out and get to know each other at other times during the week.
Come check us out. Make some new friends and grow in Christ together!
Whether you are retired or just starting a career, married or single, having that first baby or adjusting to an “empty nest,” you need community! We weren’t meant to do life alone!
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” Genesis 2:18a
CBC is a great place for you to connect with others! We offer groups for adults in every stage of life and with varied interests and needs. You may be looking for support as you struggle through a difficult time; or maybe you are looking for a class where you can learn more about God. You will find a place to belong here! And no matter what group suits you, you will be supported and encouraged and given the opportunity to grow in your relationship with Christ and to share His love with others.
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42
Therefore, to and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13
Freedom. We get that concept here in America. We are grateful to live in “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” The greatest freedom we enjoy, though, is not related to our country of citizenship. The greatest freedom of all is ours because of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection. We are liberated from being ruled by our sinful nature and free to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives: to know Christ and to make Him known! We know Christ through Bible study and prayer and worship. Missions is how we make Him known. Missions is serving “one another in love.”
God has uniquely gifted and equipped each of us for the purpose of serving others — of being the hands and feet of Jesus by serving as He did. At CBC, we foster this calling by mobilizing individuals, families and groups to make a difference in our community, our state, our country, and the world. There are so many ways you can use your talents and resources to demonstrate the love of Christ! Let’s use our freedom to serve together and make Him known!
Our God is an amazing, loving and awesome God! Worship is how we praise and thank Him for who He is and what He has done. At CBC, our Worship Ministry uses the musical gifts and talents God has given us to lead people into His presence to exalt and honor Him. The music is contemporary and relevant and utilizes voices and musical instruments. Our goals for this ministry, in addition to leading people at CBC in worship, include training up the next generation of worship leaders, participating in multi-generational worship, and taking music to the world! We minister through music on the streets, in prisons, on military bases and in the mission fields. We even record our music and send it to missionaries worldwide to encourage them in their personal worship.
