Special Needs
The Special Needs Ministry serves people of all abilities. We strive to allow every person and those who care for that person to participate fully at CBC. We have both a self-contained learning environment and an inclusive approach. Inclusion is our goal, but we do consider safety and family preferences. We work closely with caregivers so that our volunteers and buddies can help each student feel loved while developing spiritually at his or her level.

Children
Children of all ages are invited to come and worship at CBC. Depending on the child's abilities, family preferences, and safety concerns, children can either attend Kids Church with a Buddy (peer, teen or adult) or come to our special needs room.
Room B123 is a safe and friendly room staffed with paid workers and volunteers to love and teach children with special needs. These needs include developmental disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders that keep them from involvement in Kids Church. We learn about God, Jesus, and the Bible through prayer, stories, crafts, games, and center play. The ratio of students to caregivers is at least 3:1.

Students (6th — 12th grades)
Middle School students are invited to attend Impact Saturday at 5:00pm, or Sunday at 9:00am or 11:00am. If needed, we will provide a Buddy (peer, teen, or adult).
High School students are welcome (with or without a parent) at Impact on Wednesday nights starting at 7:00pm.
In some cases, younger students do well in our self-contained special needs room, B123. This class is available for all of the weekend services
Older students can join in with our young adult class. The adults meet Saturday at 5:00pm and Sunday at 9:00am in C126. This group also volunteers at the end of the services doing exit greeting (collecting bulletins, shaking hands, and telling everyone to have a blessed day).

Adults
Adults and older students meet Saturday at 5:00pm and Sunday at 9:00am in C126. This group also volunteers at the end of the services doing exit greeting (collecting bulletins, shaking hands, and telling everyone to have a blessed day). The curriculum is the same for both classes. This is great time to learn biblical principles, pray, memorize Scripture, and have a lot of fun!

Events
Family Fellowship is an informal time for parents to get together and have some food and fun while the kids hang out down the hall and enjoy pizza and play time. Generally, this group meets 12:30pm–2:30pm on the 3rd Sunday of each month. We will not meet in December.
Caring Conquerors is a LifeGroup that meets weekly on Saturday nights from 6:30pm– 8:00pm. Special needs care is available.

Volunteers
If you are loving person and would like to serve in the special needs ministry, there are many opportunities for you to be blessed. You do not need to have any prior experience, just bring your servant heart!

Kids' Club
While parents attend a small group, children (birth through 5th grade) learn biblical principles through age-appropriate lessons, crafts, songs, and games. We strive to engage children in fun interactive activities that will help them understand how the Bible applies to their lives.
