Kids' Day Out

Our ministry strives to support our CBC congregation as well as our surrounding community. While in our care, your child will be provided with a loving Christian environment that encourages them to develop physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Our primary focus is spiritual growth, and we believe strongly in incorporating a biblical perspective by teaching and guiding all of the children's activities. It is such a joy to hear children singing songs that help them learn Bible verses and be able to apply them in their world!

The CBC Kids Day Out program is unique in that it operates four early childhood programs:
Tiny Tots, Early Learners, Preschool, and Pre-K.

Tiny Tots

Serving children who are infants through 23 months, our Tiny Tots program offers our youngest children a loving, nurturing, Christian environment full of stimulating activities. All of the children are exposed to a wide variety of age appropriate experiences each day including a sensory-rich classroom environment, participation in daily walks, movement opportunities, sign language curriculum, cooking experiences, daily bible stories and songs.

Early Learners

This program is specially designed for 2-year old children. Our 2-year olds enjoy classroom environments and activities which incorporate their need for practicing self help skills and nurture their attempts at mastering independence. We use multiple resources and curriculums in planning for Early Learners to experience various concepts including self, family, friends, shape, textures, animals and more. Our 2-year olds attend chapel daily and are encouraged to learn a monthly bible verse.

Preschool

Serving children 3 years old. Our curriculum provides a guideline for our teachers when planning learning centers which support the children's need for independence and exploration. Centers may include math, table games, sand and water play, house keeping/role play, block building, writing, science, library, art and sensory play. Our preschoolers participate in daily chapel time where they are taught Old and New Testament Bible stories, prayer and songs.

Pre-K

This program is for our 4 and 5 year old children. Children explore math concepts and participate in science experiments, cooking activities and creative art. Language development is nurtured through the sharing of age appropriate stories, the development of prewriting skills and other language-play experiences. Children are exposed to letters, kinesthetically, visually and verbally. Our Pre-K children participate in daily chapel t ime where they are encouraged to learn a monthly bible verse and are taught Old and New Testament Bible stories, prayer and songs.

We believe that well planned classroom environments are paramount to the success of a child's growth and development. Lesson plans are designed by our own teachers with a balanced focus on spiritual development, readiness skills, pre-writing skills, social skills, and self-help skills. This allows us to meet the unique needs and interests of each child. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and developmentally challenging. Our day consists of both teacher-guided and child-initiated indoor and outdoor activities. Your child will have the opportunity to build relationships and develop appropriate academic and problem-solving skills.
