We are currently accepting applications for adult Counselors, Nurses, and Security Officers to be a part of the 2012 CBC Summer Camp team at Camp Tejas! We are also accepting Kids Camp Teen Volunteer applications for students currently in at least 8th grade.
These positions fill up quickly, so grab your calendars and vacation requests to make plans to join us for one or more of our camps.

After you have completed your initial application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that will provide you with further instructions to complete your application process. You will be given links to complete your background check and the Child Abuse Prevention Test (CAPT) that is located below. This test is mandated by the State of Texas for summer camp volunteers and staff. Please read through the curriculum and complete the worksheet prior to taking the Child Abuse Prevention Test (CAPT). Following each of these steps will expedite your application process.
SUMMER CAMP 2012
Kids Camp (3rd, 4th, or 5th grade) – June 2-6, 2012
Middle School Camp (6th and 7th Grade Camp) – June 6-10, 2012
High School Camp (8th through 12th Grade Camp) – June 10-14, 2012
(grades are for the current school year 2011-2012)
The cost is $395 per camper but we will give a $50 discount for registrations submitted before March 1, 2012
We are so excited to have Ken Freeman as our guest speaker at the student camps this year. If you are unfamiliar with who Ken is please check out his website http://www.kenfreeman.com/. Our student Pastor, John Valenzuela will also be speaking at camp. Last year was amazing and we are looking to build upon that and make Camp 2012 even more dynamic. Camp Fundraiser Opportunities
We want to help families curb the expenses of sending children and/or students to camp in hopes that it will allow more to attend this year! Not only are we offering the early registration discount and pre-payment plan, we will also have two great fundraising opportunities. Please read below for all the details:
1) Chick-fil-A Calendars - With 12 coupons for free food and drinks, these calendars will pay for themselves in 2012. You can buy them from Kim Lively in the student department for $4 and sell them to friends & family for $7. You deposit the profit in your child's camp account - easy! Kim's direct line is (210) 477-5178 and she is usually in the office Monday through Thursday from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
2) Ground To Cup Coffee - You may pick up an order form in the lobby of the Education Building beginning this Sunday, November 13th. Then sell to friends, family, and co-workers (door-to-door selling is discouraged). This wonderful coffee & tea will make FANTASTIC Christmas presents! 40% of all sales will be deposited to your child's camp account. Deadline to turn in your order forms & money will be December 4th. All order forms and money will be turned into Mandy Taylor. Mandy's e-mail address is campfundraising@communitybible.com. Orders should be picked-up at CBC on December 14th from 4:00pm-9:00pm in the main church lobby.
**Please note that if you participate in the CBC coffee fundraiser, the 40% deposited to your child's account is not available for withdrawal. If your child becomes unable to attend camp or fundraises an amount in excess of his/her camp fee, that amount will be transferred to CBC's camp scholarship fund.
