As Robert Emmitt said in his video (see video), we know that those who have marriage preparation make a wise choice to help their marriage have a greater chance of success! With that in mind, we are encouraging couples to take at least eight hours of marriage preparation.

The State fully understands and even seeks out faith-based organizations to help couples start off right. We are now on the Texas website for TWOGETHER IN TEXAS: Learn to love for life as a Christ-centered program.
What are the benefits?
- Once a couple completes a minimum of eight hours of classes/mentoring time, they are better prepared for the marriage relationship.
- The couple can take their certificate of completion to the courthouse where the marriage certificate fee of $60 will be waived.
