CBC Service Update
A Letter from Pastor Ed

Our hearts are broken for our brothers and sisters in Uvalde, for we mourn with those who mourn, and we stand in solidarity with them. First and foremost, we are calling all to pray for families facing this unspeakable tragedy. We are dedicating all of our weekend services to pray for our brothers and sisters in their time of need.

Second, we are working with local leaders in the city of Uvalde to better assess the needs going forward. In times of tragedy, the outpouring of people wanting to help is so gracious and kind, but it can be overwhelming to local leaders to process, all the while trying to care for
the people in immediate need and comfort.

Our efforts will be in the following:

  1. Raising financial support to provide Uvalde local leaders a resource to meet the practical needs of these families and the community as they present themselves.
  2. Recruiting licensed trained counselors to volunteer to be on standby for the moment of mobilization when local officials send the request.

Please join us this weekend in one of our five services to pray and find hope in this time of need. Saturday at 5 pm and Sunday at 8:30 am, 10 am, 11:45 am, and 1:21 pm.

Pastor Ed Newton
