One Weekend

One Weekend is an incredible “summer camp style” weekend experience for students 6-12 grades. One Weekend will challenge students at all points in their spiritual journeys to pursue Jesus and the freedom He offers. This year we have an amazing line up of on-stage worship teams, speakers, and a Christian Rap artist.

Students will be grouped together by grade and gender and will stay in CBC host homes where they will build community with peers and engage in small group discussions. In addition, they will participate in 4 sessions at CBC on Friday and Saturday, culminating with a worship celebration with the rest of our CBC family on Sunday at the 10 a.m. service.

This weekend allows students to connect with friends and invest in their relationship with Jesus all without having to leave town. We want to see every teenager possible attend this event. We believe it can be a launching point to seeing our city impacted for the kingdom and to see our CBC Student family grow!

Students will bring sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, and air mattresses to sleep on. You will also provide breakfast for the group on Saturday morning. Breakfast can be cereal, pancakes, casseroles, donuts, etc… We also ask that host home assist in transporting groups to and from the church through out the weekend. You will also be able to participate in all worship services and activities through out the weekend!

If a disciplinary situation arises, please contact a staff member to step in and handle the situation.

You will be paired with specific small groups and be on call to pick up and drop off students at predetermined locations. You will also be able to participate in all worship services and activities through out the weekend!

Baby Dedication

Baby dedication is a public commitment made before God, the church, and family. A dedication service provides parents, who are seeking to follow God’s design for the family, as outlined in the Bible, an opportunity to express publicly their desire to lead and spiritually nurture their child so that the child will develop a desire to love God and love others.

We believe that every baby dedication is a partnership between parents and the church. Together, we commit to raising each child according to God’s Word so that they would one day accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and follow Him all the days of their life.

To have your baby dedicated at CBC we ask the following of parent(s):

  • That parents have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • That parents attend CBC’s Baby Dedication Class.
  • That parents are regular attenders of CBC’s weekend services.
  • That parents who are living together and who are not married take steps to acknowledge and surrender to God’s plan for their relationship outlined in scripture before participating in a child dedication service.

We will gladly have conversations with you on any of the above requests.

Amazing Grace Retreat

Amazing Grace Retreat is a retreat for every woman. No matter where a woman is in her walk with Christ, she will leave the retreat with a new level of intimacy with Him. The bonds formed with other women at the retreat will give each participant sisters to continue to grow and go through life with. As a result, this retreat fills up quickly. Please register as soon as you are able.

Join us Friday April 5th through Sunday April 7th at John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels. We will depart CBC on bus at 4:30pm on Friday.

Prices are $185 (Shared Bed) and $210 (Individual Bed) please note all rooms are shared.
For more information contact womensgroups@cbc.email.

Baptism

Anyone who has made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is eligible to be baptized. Baptism is an act of obedience to Christ. Baptism does not give you salvation, but it is one way to publicly tell others about your salvation, because it identifies you with Jesus.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” Romans 1:16

CBC holds baptisms in services for adults and teens monthly. Baptisms are available at all services. Sign up for the next baptism below.
