Care & Support

The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all of their troubles.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Psalm 34:17-18

Everyone faces tough times in their lives. Everyone. Jesus even told us, “here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.” It is the nature of this fallen world. When the hard stuff happens, when you feel lost and alone, when you are up against something you cannot handle on your own, Community Bible Church is here to help.

Sometimes a group setting is the most beneficial, such as with 12-step recovery, divorce care, or grief support. Other times, you may need one-on-one assistance or counseling, like when making funeral arrangements or when dealing with mental health issues. Whatever the struggle, CBC provides support through a network of ministries with trained volunteers as well as professional and community resources.

Don’t go it alone. Let us walk with you through the valley, and with Jesus, guide you to the other side. That’s what community is all about.

If you are concerned that you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of depression, here is an online assessment which can help you determine whether depression is present: Click here for Depression Inventory

If your score indicates signs of moderate to severe depression, please speak with a mental health professional or physician. Here is a list of professionals in our community, including Christian counselors and psychiatrists: Click here for Professional Counselor Referrals

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, please contact your physician or go to your nearest hospital emergency room or dial 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.

Groups for Personal Growth & Healing

Although we are wounded through relationships, we also are healed through relationships. Recovery, Support, and Mental Health groups offer biblical hope, practical help, and Spirit-fueled healing in a safe, non-judgmental environment. They are opportunities to learn, grow, and get the support you need in a community where everyone is dealing with similar struggles.
