What Is Heart for the House?
A Season of Faith, Sacrifice, and Expectation

Heart for the House is an annual offering given over and above our regular tithes and offerings. It marks a significant and miraculous step forward in the life of CBC. By intentionally preparing and selflessly giving, we position ourselves to grow our reach and impact more people throughout San Antonio. Through the month of December, we unite as one house to pray, prepare, and give toward the future God is calling us to build. On December 27th and 28th during all services at all campuses we will lay our gifts on the altar.

Where Your Giving Makes a Difference
A future is being built right now

one campus, one family, and one soul at a time.

CBC, what a moment we’re standing in! As we reach the lost, disciple the saved, and serve our city, God has opened not one, but TWO incredible doors at the same time.

First, our CBC Southside campus, where we currently rent, is now available for us to purchase. Brooks City Base voted unanimously to sell it to us because they want CBC at the center of their future. Owning this campus declares what we’ve always believed: we’re here to stay.

Second, God has opened the opportunity to purchase land in the 281/46 corridor, prime space for a permanent CBC Northside campus, a place for our Northside family to plant roots and build for generations to come.

Two opportunities. One moment. And this is clearly God’s hand at work.

But to step into this, it will take $8 million. That number may stretch our faith, but it does not stretch God’s ability. In 2 Kings 12, Joash placed a chest before the people and invited a one- time, sacrificial gift to build God’s house, and they responded. Church, this is our Joash Chest moment.

The Heart for the House offering is our chance to say, “God, everything we have is Yours. Use this to expand Your Kingdom.” This one-time gift, above the tithe, will go directly toward the purchase of the CBC Southside building and the CBC Northside property.

On December 27th and 28th, during our final weekend services of the year, when we celebrate baptisms and thank God for all He’s done, we’ll bring our Heart for the House offering and lay it on the altar, as an act of worship. If you can’t attend, you can give anytime during the month of December at communitybible.com or through the giving boxes in the lobbies of all campuses.

CBC Southside

God opened a door we never expected 18 months ago, CBC Southside began meeting in the former Compass Rose Elementary School with the understanding that the arrangement was temporary. BUT GOD had something bigger in mind. Because of the profound impact CBC Southside has had on the Brooks City community, we now have the opportunity to purchase the building and the property. Under the leadership of Campus Pastor Josh Lopez, CBC Southside has become a powerful light on the Southside, now welcoming nearly 1,500 people weekly.

Our Faith Step:

✔ Purchase the building and land
✔ Establish a permanent home
✔ Continue investing in the revitalization of the Southside

CBC Northside

Just over a year ago, CBC Northside launched at Smithson Valley High School. The campus grew so quickly that services moved to Pieper High School. Led by Campus Pastor Marquise Cox, CBC Northside now welcomes over 1,000 people each week. Our student ministry meets off-site at the Bulverde Activity Center, with over 100 students gathering for MDWK.

A challenge we face:

Schools allow ministry only on Sundays, and available property in the area is limited.

Our Faith Step:

✔ Acquire land along the 281/Hwy 46 corridor

✔ Build a permanent home for CBC Northside

✔ Expand weekday ministry opportunities for families and students
