WHAT IS LOVESA?

Every year, CBC spends a week to live out our calling as the church: being the good news of Jesus to every person in every place. July 6–11, we’ll get out of the building and serve across San Antonio through curated opportunities for individuals, families, friends, and community groups. Whether you’re passionate about serving kids, caring for the elderly, beautifying neighborhoods, or supporting local organizations, there’s a place for you to make a difference in a way that fits your passions, skills, and schedule.

WHY WE DO LOVESA

San Antonio is our home. These are our neighbors. LoveSA is not just a week of projects and checkboxes. It is a week of being good news to the people and places God has placed right in front of us. Our hope is simple. We hope you show up, serve well, and leave with a vision for the people and places God is calling you to beyond this week. LoveSA is not meant to be the end of your journey. We hope it is just the beginning.

THERE IS A SPOT FOR EVERYONE

Solo. Family. Friends. Community Group. Whatever your schedule, whatever your skills, whatever your passion, there is an opportunity for you to serve.

LoveSA is Community Bible Church's annual city-wide serve week. Every summer we mobilize our church family to get out into the community and serve the people and places of San Antonio. It is one week, hundreds of volunteers, and one shared mission — to be good news to our city.

LoveSA 2026 runs July 6 through 11. There are serve opportunities available throughout the week so you can find a day and time that works for your schedule.

Not at all! LoveSA is open to everyone. Whether you have been attending CBC for years or have never stepped foot in one of our buildings, you are welcome to serve with us.

Absolutely. LoveSA is a great opportunity for families to serve together. Some opportunities are better suited for older kids and teens while others are perfect for the whole family. You will be able to see age recommendations when you browse serve opportunities.

Yes and we highly encourage it! Serving alongside people you already do life with makes the experience even better. Community groups can sign up together and serve as a team.

Nope. We have opportunities for every skill level, interest, and schedule. Whether you are great with your hands, love working with kids, or just want to show up and help wherever needed, there is a spot for you.
