What is MTI?

The CBC Ministry Training Institute is designed to equip those called to ministry to serve the local church.

This unique opportunity takes place at a leading church in one of the world's greatest cities, San Antonio, TX. This is not a typical internship. It is an intensive season of growth, saturated with hands-on ministry experience.

We are looking for young leaders who desire to have a lasting impact on the world through the local church.

What CBC provides

  • Pay
    Paid monthly stipend.
  • Housing
    Free housing: 4 bedroom home shared with other residents.
  • International Mission Trip
    Church will provide a one week international mission trip.
  • Transportation Stipend
    Stipend provided to help with the transition to/from San Antonio.

BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Develop as a leader through intensive, impactful, experiential training.
  • Learn how to make world-impacting disciples.
  • Be discipled from CBC staff.
  • Gain ministry experience in planning and leading out with camps, retreats, and mission trips.
  • Be prepared to serve at a local church upon completion.

BIBLICAL FRAMEWORK

The Bible is our guide and we orient everything we do around God's word. It is reliable and trustworthy and it is foundational to what we do.

LEADERSHIP FORMATION

We are not called to just "do" ministry. Rather, fruitful ministry is the overflow of a heart connected to the Father. This program seeks to help you grow in your love for Jesus as well as teach you the tools to lead others. Like Paul said, "Follow me as I follow Jesus."

MINISTRY EXPERIENCE

We commit to provide practical training to prepare students to serve in the local church. You will grow alongside of faithful pastors who are leaders in their field. Your involvement will impact people.

Join our Summer Internship

The Ministry Training Institute is offering an eight-week summer internship for college students who are pursuing a call to ministry. Interns will live in host housing (if needed) and be paid. Email: [email protected] to apply!

FAQs

The Ministry Training Institute is a two-year investment.

The program is designed for those 20-25 years old.

Residents will earn a monthly stipend and receive free housing with other residents.

We are looking for people with a clear call to full time church ministry. We are also looking for those who are currently pursuing or have already completed their Bachelor's degree (Ministry experience will be considered).

We hope so, but can't make that promise. What we do promise is that we will help you find the right ministry role for you.
