Our hearts are heavy as we lift up Kerrville and the surrounding communities experiencing historic and devastating flooding. We know that many CBC families call this region home, and we are standing with you in prayer during this difficult and uncertain time.
We grieve the tragic loss of life that has occurred in the midst of this disaster, and ask the Lord to bring comfort to every family facing unthinkable loss. We pray for protection for those in harm’s way, to bring peace in the chaos, and to strengthen every first responder working tirelessly to save lives. May His presence be near to the brokenhearted and His power be made known in every act of rescue and recovery.
CBC’s Response Team is actively monitoring the situation and is prepared to deploy as needed. We are in close partnership with organizations like Samaritan’s Purse, Convoy of Hope, and The Salvation Army, ensuring that we respond quickly and effectively to those impacted. We are also working directly with Pastor Oscar Dominguez and Gateway Church in Ingram, TX a trusted ministry partner to support their relief and rebuilding efforts of people in the area.
If you would like to give financially to support the ongoing response, we encourage you to do so through CBC or through Gateway Church, your generosity will go directly to meeting the needs of those affected and to the long-term rebuild efforts. CBC supports these trusted partners year-round and will continue to walk alongside those in crisis.
In addition, beginning this weekend, we’ll be collecting $25 Walmart gift cards at every CBC campus to help families with urgent and immediate needs. Gift cards can be dropped off at the LOVE SA tables in the lobby and will be distributed directly to those impacted.
If you are a CBC family personally affected by the flooding and need support, please reach out to us directly. We are here for you.
Let’s come together as a church family to pray, and be ready to help however we can.
