Origin of the Oil reveals a powerful truth woven through Scripture. The oil was never the source of the anointing. It simply revealed what God had already marked. At Bethel, Jacob poured oil on an ordinary stone after encountering the presence of God, turning a common moment into holy ground. Throughout Scripture, oil moves from everyday use to sacred purpose, set apart for God’s dwelling, His tools, and His priests. In Bethany, oil is poured on Jesus, shifting from a sacred place to a sacred Person. God still works this way today, anointing the ordinary and transforming it into something extraordinary for His glory.
