Preteen Ministry

The Preteen Ministry is here to help 4th-5th Graders grow in their relationship with Jesus. Through weekly worship gatherings, small group ministry, and awesome events throughout the year, we’re teaching preteens to know God’s love, trust His word, and live in His joy. And we’ll be making some amazing memories along the way!

Gathering Times

The Preteen Ministry meets during all CBC Service Times – our Preteen Ministry space is located on the 2nd Floor above Central Chapel.

Saturdays - 5pm

Sundays - 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm



Preteen Summer Hang

Preteen Summer Hang is our annual on-campus summer event designed just for students completing 4th and 5th grade at CBC! Happening June 1-3, 2026 (Monday-Wednesday) from 12:30-4pm at our Central Campus, this three-day experience is all about creating a fun, high-energy space where preteens can connect, grow, and have an unforgettable time together. Each day is packed with engaging worship, exciting games, and plenty of opportunities to build friendships and make lasting memories. Summer Hang is intentionally created with preteens in mind, making it the perfect place for students to feel known, have fun, and be part of what God is doing in our Preteen Ministry.

We can't wait to gather all of our amazing preteens in one place - and we'd love for your student to invite a friend to join the fun! Please note that lunch is not provided, so plan accordingly.

Preteen Events

Preteen Wednesdays - The heart of every Preteen Wednesday is small group discussion and Bible study. Your student will be placed in a group with the same leader and the same students for the entire school year. This year we're doing a study on the Old Testament names of God!

Monthly Prayer Meeting - Second Wednesday of every month. 12:00-1:00pm (In the Preteen space).

Baptism Class - All preteens planning to be baptized at CBC are required to attend a Baptism Class. The class is held each month before CBC's baptism celebration. Click here to register for a baptism class.

Preteen Fancy Friendsgiving - All CBC 4th and 5th Graders are invited to a *Fancy* Friendsgiving dinner in the Chapel at CBC's Central campus. Fancy attired required! Mark your calendars, this year's Fancy Friendsgiving is Thursday, November 19th.

Volunteer with CBC Preteen

Join our team and help 4th-5th Graders grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Our weekly gatherings are a full worship service that’s designed just for students this age. Each gathering includes a large group time with worship and Bible teaching. Gatherings also include a breakout time for small group discussion and prayer.

We also have several events throughout the year including summer camp and a very cool multi-day summer experience at CBC’s Central campus. Throughout the school year, we host a variety of parties and events designed to help the student make friends and build genuine community with each other.

Opportunities to serve with the preteen ministry include: Experience Team, Large Group Team, and Small Group Team. The various leadership roles within these teams cover everything that happens in the ministry from welcoming first time guests to leading worship to shepherding a small group of students.
